Waste management
Problems have arisen once again with the environment around the red containers for household waste. They have a tendency to be over-full at weekends, particularly on Sundays. The containers are emptied on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please try to plan so you throw out waste more often and preferably spread it over the week. For example, don’t throw out Sunday’s waste until Monday, when the container has been emptied!
The birds immediately peck holes in waste bags outside the containers in order to get a hearty meal. There hasn’t been much rat activity in the area, but there’s a significant risk that they’ll find their way back again.
And, of course, nothing else, such as cardboard boxes, metal and plastic packaging and even furniture, can be left outside the containers!
If the area is not kept clean and tidy, there’s a significant risk that the fees will need to go up by more. The waste has to be taken care of and it doesn’t get done for free...
